Mitsubishi Announces 2021 Outlander Sport Pricing

There's increased value for every trim.
The Mitsubishi Outlander Sport (not to be mistaken for the completely redesigned and upcoming 2021 Outlander) arrives for the 2021 model year with updating packaging and trim levels and more standard driver-assist features on every trim level. The Japanese automaker has also announced pricing, which will now begin from $20,995 for the S 2WD trim. At the other end of the spectrum, a fully-loaded GT AWC trim can be had from $26,995. Neither price includes the $1,095 destination fee.
All told, there are ten trim levels for 2021, including the new Limited Edition and revised Black Edition. The former begins at $23,995 and comes standard with black outside mirrors, a black grille, and black 18-inch alloy wheels.
The interior boasts red accent stitching along the seats, gear shifter, steering wheel, and parking brake lever. The Black Edition, available in FWD or AWD, is composed of revised front and rear air dams covered in gloss black with red accents, black-painted outside mirrors and door handles, black 18-inch wheels with red accents, unique badging, and a large rear spoiler. Four exterior colors are available: Red Diamond, Pearl White, Black Labrador, and Sunshine Orange.
Aside from the S and ES trims, all 2021 Outlander Sports come with an eight-inch display screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. Those two base trims have a standard seven-inch display.
Under the hood, the familiar 2.0-liter MiVEC DOHC four-cylinder engine with 148 horsepower and 145 lb-ft of torque is standard. It manages 24/30/27 mpg city/highway/combined in both FWD and AWC configurations. The GT AWC (All-Wheel Control) has a more powerful 2.4-liter four-cylinder with 168 hp and 167 lb-ft, and manages 23/29 mpg city/highway.
As Mitsubishi's best-selling model, the Outlander Sport has become even more attractive thanks to Forward Collision Mitigation, Lane Departure Warning, and Automatic High Beam now standard on all trims. Rain-sensing windshield wipers, LED fog lights, and automatic headlights also come standard on all trims save for the base S trim. Sales are due to kick off nationwide next month.
